Welcome Greyhounds! It’s been a minute. But that’s because we’ve been BUSY on the pod side of things. We’ve already published six episodes in 2022, including interviews with NBC Sports Lead Soccer Commentator Arlo White, Kiki May (who plays Nora on Ted Lasso), Charlie Hiscock (Will the Kitman), and Jimmy Akingbola (Ollie). And we have six interviews recorded that we are prepping for release in addition to our episode conversations so there’s plenty of cool stuff yet to come.
Updates from the Dogtrack
Marisa and Brett are in full on musical theater mode (again)! Marisa is the musical director for a stage production of Legally Blonde at our local college, and Brett just wrapped up a run in the pit for a production of Matilda.
Marisa recently got to spend a few days in NYC, and made sure to take in a handful of Broadway shows while in town.
Earlier this month we had the chance to meet Coach Donnie Campbell in person! Make sure to check our interview with him if you haven’t had the chance to yet.
Christian has a busy month over at Fatherly with stories on Gentle Parenting as well as How To Introduce Your Kid To Hip-Hop with the legendary MICK (formerly known as Mick Boogie). There are many more parenting stories on the site as well.

Musical Theater Moves
Shoutout to Britney Johnson who became the first Black actor to assume the role of Glinda in Wicked full-time at the Gershwin Theatre.
Not MUSICAL theater, but we want to mention…the new production of Macbeth has tapped Daniel Craig and Ruth Negga to star in the show. And the film version on AppleTV+ staring Denzel Washington is getting rave reviews.
Ian McKellen would like to star in a musical, if anyone’s looking for a guy.
Lots of Broadway and theater energy with Oscar nominations this year.
"We Don't Talk About Bruno," from the movie Encanto hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda's first-ever song to nab the top spot. It also surpassed the performance of “Let it Go,” which peaked at number five.

Congrats to Senegal for winning the African Cup of Nations! Team leader Sergio Mane brought the magic back to the EPL with an incredible goal vs. Norwich.
People are really excited about Angel City FC as they get ready to enter NWSL this season. Gabrielle Union and her daughter Kaavia recently became part owners of the club. The are amongst a few mother-daughter duos to invest in Angel City FC. WNBA star Candace Parker and her 12-year-old daughter Lailaa Nicole Williams also invested in the club as did Serena Williams and her daughter.
